By now, you have received your Walsh email address, username and have changed your password. If you have not, please contact your admissions counselor to complete these steps! The Student Service Center, in Farrell Hall 101, houses the offices of Financial Aid, Student Accounts, and Registrar. The office's main duties are to help students with financial aid, scholarships, payments, registration, and student records.
The Financial Aid staff is available to help you navigate the financial aid process, understand the breakdown of tuition and fees, and to ensure you are awarded financial aid to your maximum eligibility.
The Student Account team can answer questions about your account balance, payment options, and refunds. Although tuition bills are not mailed, students can check their account balance at any time by logging into their Student Account Center. Please follow the guidelines below when choosing a photo to use for your ID card. Photos that do not meet the guidelines will be rejected and your photo will be taken at your in-person orientation on campus. Email your photo to ID@walsh.edu include your registered full name and student ID number.
As you prepare for your arrival to Walsh University, it’s important that you complete your Request for a Parking Permit or Permit Waiver. All new incoming students are required to complete this form to either register a vehicle or opt out of having a vehicle on campus. You will need your Walsh Student ID# to complete this form.

Each student is assigned a first-year academic advisor through the office of First Year Student Success and Academic Advising. Their advisor will assist them in creating their academic plan and schedule for their first year at Walsh. Advisors are able to answer questions, provide access to resources and service as a support system for students. First year students are required to meet with their First Year Academic Advisor several times throughout their fall and spring semesters.

The Academic Support Center (ASC) provides free tutoring in subjects across all disciplines. Tutoring appointments can be conveniently scheduled online, and students can meet with tutors in person or remotely. The ASC promotes a judgment-free environment for students at every level. Each year, roughly 95% of the freshman class utilizes tutoring services, including honors students.
The ASC is always looking to hire peer tutors with strong academic backgrounds in their subject areas. Students interested in becoming tutors can register for a tutor training course which is offered each semester. Tutors select their own schedules and are paid bi-weekly. Please keep this opportunity in mind as you progress in your academic career. Before You Begin Classes Register for an account so that you have access to tutors' schedules and appointments. The Office of Commuter Student Services believes it is vital to develop a sense of connectedness and community for commuter students. The Office of Commuter Student Services strives to enhance the quality of the educational experience of commuter students and to increase awareness within the University community through social programming, educational workshops, and dynamic outreach programs to meet commuter students' needs for social interaction and for personal, intellectual, leadership, and life skill development.
Walsh University Campus Police consists of sworn law enforcement officers who are certified by the Ohio Peace Officers Training Counsel, have full arrest power, are armed with weapons, and are able to provide all necessary police services on the University property. The goal of Campus Police is to provide a safe and secure environment for the campus community in support of the University's mission; they operate 24 hours a day, 7 days a week- even when the University is closed.
These officers are also available to assist with courtesy escorts from buildings to vehicles, vehicles to buildings or building to building on campus for anyone who feels uncomfortable due to the time of day/night or has a concern regarding safety. Please note that these officers are valuable educators with our students who embrace and operate under the community policing philosophy. It is also their sworn duty to uphold the law and Walsh University policies. Officers are identified by their white or maroon shirts and a gold badge. Walsh University encourages all students, faculty, staff and campus visitors to be aware of their surroundings. School safety and crisis preparedness classes are provided by Campus Police each semester.
The Cavalier Safeguard Initiative (CSI) 2.0 is a campus-wide, cross-enterprise grant project at Walsh University funded by the Office on Violence Against Women (OVW) through the U.S. Department of Justice. The project uses a comprehensive approach to improving both the prevention of and response to dating violence, domestic violence, sexual assault, and stalking at the university.
The Walsh Emergency Alert communication systems allows Walsh to send time-sensitive notifications via the Walsh University Emergency Alert System (voice messages, emails and text messages). This system will be used only in the case of an emergency such as school closures, natural disasters or imminent threats. Welcome to the Student Conduct and Community Standards Office at Walsh University. Our office works to strengthen personal responsibility and accountability by addressing violations of University policy through the University conduct system. We want you to be a successful and responsible member of our community throughout your time at Walsh. As a member of our campus community, the University expects all students to abide by the student conduct code both on and off-campus.
Title IX is part of the 1972 re-authorization of the Higher Education Act and stipulates that "No person in the United States shall, on the basis of sex, be excluded from participation in, be denied the benefits of, or be subjected to discrimination under any education program or activity receiving federal financial assistance." Title IX requires all schools receiving federal financial assistance to take reasonable steps to create a safe, nondiscriminatory learning environment. Walsh University is committed to providing support and assistance to members of our campus community impacted by all forms of sex discrimination, including, but not limited to harassment, sexual assault, dating violence, domestic violence, gender-based misconduct, stalking, retaliation, or other forms of sex discrimination. If there is a violation of this Policy, the University will take steps to end the sex discrimination, prevent its recurrence and to remedy its effects. All student-athletes must complete Academic and Amateurism Certification through the NCAA Eligibility Center. Please remember to have your final official high school transcript to the NCAA Eligibility Center for Academic certification. Sign on to your Eligibility Center account to select "Final Amateurism" to receive amateurism certification.
These forms are sent to your Walsh email every July. The forms include, NCAA student athlete statement, Consent to FERPA/HIPPA and Consent to drug testing. *Minors will have to print out the electronic Annual NCAA Student-Athlete Forms and have a parent or legal guardian sign the Annual NCAA Student-Athlete Forms.

The Walsh University Athletic Department's goal is to minimize all risk of injury while participating in your athletic endeavors. The University has teamed up with Cleveland Clinic Mercy Hospital to provide the student-athlete sports medicine coverage. These trained professionals work with the coaching staff to provide you preventative and restorative care.
The first line of defense in helping to provide you with a safe environment to compete in is by obtaining a complete medical history in compliance with the regulations and guidelines that the NCAA has established. Failure to complete this required information will result in a delay of your ability to participate in team activities. Please visit the Athletics website to review our Student Athlete Medical Information Power Point, which will instruct you in completing the medical information needed to fulfill the NCAA requirements.
An annual fee of $250 will be billed to the summer session preceding the year of participation. This fee will help ensure and support all athletic health and safety protocols provided for you during practice and competition. All student athletes must pay the yearly fee prior to the first date of competition.
The Office of the Registrar is committed to providing excellent service to the Walsh University community. The office strives to maintain the highest level of accuracy and credibility in its record keeping system and transcript services. It also strives to uphold institutional, state, and federal regulations pertaining to the guidelines of FERPA. The mission of the Office of the Registrar follows the same values of the University's mission: to provide services that foster personal and professional growth and provide encouragement and support.
The Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) is a federal law that affords parents the right to have access to their children's education records, the right to seek to have the records amended, and the right to have some control over the disclosure of personally identifiable information from the education records. When a student turns 18 years old, or enters a postsecondary institution at any age, the rights under FERPA transfer from the parents to the student ("eligible student"). The FERPA statute is found at 20 U.S.C. § 1232g and the FERPA regulations are found at 34 CFR Part 9. Release of Records Form If you wish to grant a parent or family member access to your academic record, financial aid, conduct, etc. you will need to fill out and submit Release of Education Records form to the Office of the Registrar. This form will be available by June 1, 2023.

Walsh University Health Services is located in Washington Square at AultmanNow. Students, faculty and staff can present their Walsh ID to access a menu of services at no cost. Health care professionals assist students in addressing their health care concerns while they are enrolled in the university. Some health services requested may require additional fees. A health fee, assessed each semester, enables a student to visit AultmanNow as many times as necessary.
