Upon completion, participants will be able to:
- Govern team creation, naming, expiration and lifecycle through the Teams admin center and PowerShell
- Manage channel types (standard, private and shared), control guest and external access, and set app setup and permission policies
- Set meeting, webinar, town hall and messaging policies for different user groups
- Safeguard Teams data with sensitivity labels, retention policies and DLP
- Configure Teams Phone numbers, call queues and auto attendants, and troubleshoot with admin reports, service health and the Call Quality Dashboard

Assessment and Credentials
Every session includes an applied lab, and the program concludes with a final project. Participants who complete all four sessions and the final project receive a certificate of completion from Walsh University Skilled Technical Workforce (STWF) titled “Applied Microsoft Teams Administration.”
Skills That Transfer Beyond
These competencies (governance and lifecycle policies set through the admin center and PowerShell, channel and external access management, meeting and messaging policies, data protection controls, Teams Phone configuration and troubleshooting) reflect the day-to-day responsibilities of Microsoft 365 and Teams administrators and carry over to any organization running Microsoft 365. Since the skills center on a widely adopted platform and not on one employer's processes, participants keep them as they move between roles and employers.
Data and Privacy in Class
All labs run in a Walsh training environment with sample data rather than any one employer's systems.
