Through these programs, students can complete three years of undergraduate coursework and then begin working toward their juris doctorate while simultaneously earning their bachelor's degree in legal studies from Walsh.
The Legal Studies program offers students an opportunity to earn a bachelor’s degree from Walsh University and a Juris Doctorate (J.D.) from the University of Akron School of Law or the Catholic University of America in six years (3+3 Program), or from the University of Dayton School of Law in five years (3+2 Program).
Students can select one of three tracks toward their Legal Studies major: Business, Criminal Justice or Government.
Liberal Arts Foundation. Students benefit from a liberal arts core curriculum, interactive learning environment.
Small Class Sizes. Instead of taking courses in large lecture halls with hundreds of others, Walsh students receive substantial student-professor contact.
Emphasis on Service Learning. Students partner with numerous organizations throughout the region where they work side by side with those in needs to help solve problems or tackle important issues affecting our society.
Research Opportunities. Walsh's School of Behavioral and Health Sciences engages faculty and students in research and in efforts to improve the quality of human and community life.
