All new loan borrowers who have not previously received a federal loan must complete Entrance Counseling to complete the loan process. This process ensures you understand the terms and conditions of your loan(s), how interest works, repayment options, etc.
Students who receive the following types of loans for the first time must complete Entrance Counseling:
- Direct Subsidized Loans
- Direct Unsubsidized Loans
- Direct PLUS Loans for graduate/professional students
