Welcome to summer Cavalier Connections! We’re excited to welcome you to campus and begin connecting you with all of the great resources and support Walsh University has to offer.

The day will begin at 8:30 a.m. with check-in and a continental breakfast. Throughout the day, students will interact with current Walsh University students and receive an introduction to different aspects of campus life, with plenty of opportunities to ask questions. The day will end at approximately 3 p.m.
Students will receive personalized schedules upon arrival to their Cavalier Connections.
We encourage parents and family members to attend as well. Additional information on costs for registering guests is provided below.

Make a Reservation
To reserve your space for a Cavalier Connection, please complete the following steps:
Step 1: Submit Your Tuition Deposit
In order to reserve your spot for a session of Cavalier Connection, you will need to have paid your tuition deposit with the Office of Admissions. If you are unsure of your tuition deposit status, please contact the Office of Admissions at (330) 490-7172. Pay your deposit online here.
Step 2: Complete Your Cavalier Connection Registration
Reserve your spot today for Cavalier Connection! Please read the information below and click on the registration link. When you complete the reservation form, you will be asked to respond to important questions, including:
- Intended academic major,
- If you are a resident or commuter student,
- If you are a student athlete,
- Other academic credits you will be transferring into Walsh.
Family Members and Guests
Parents, family members and guests are encouraged to attend Cavalier Connection as well. Each guest will be provided with a personalized schedule that runs concurrently with your student’s schedule. A registration fee is applied for partial or full participation and covers materials, program sessions and meals.

*IMPORTANT NOTE: In order to provide you with the best possible Cavalier Connection experience, we do cap the number of students that can attend each session. Please be sure to register for your preferred session as soon as possible to secure your first choice. Students being accompanied by a parent should complete both registrations at the same time.
Step 3: Placement Testing
Incoming Freshman students are required to complete certain placement tests. Placement tests do not determine your admission to the Walsh University - you’ve already been accepted. These tests are designed to help assign you to academic courses that best fit your skills. Our goal is to help you be successful from day one!
Foreign Language Placement Testing
Foreign language placement testing is required for all incoming students and must be completed electronically two weeks prior to your scheduled Cavalier Connection. To start the foreign language test, click here.
Pre-Nursing Placement Testing
Pre-nursing majors are required to complete an electronic chemistry placement test two weeks prior to your scheduled Cavalier Connection. To start the chemistry test, click here.
Accommodations for Students with Disabilities
If you are a student with a disability that would like to request accommodations for placement testing, please contact Meredith Soduk, of the Academic Support Services, at 330-490-7529 or msoduk@walsh.edu. We recommend that students make arrangements for accommodations three weeks prior to the date of the scheduled Cavalier Connection.
