You may feel most comfortable confiding in a professor, coach, or campus staff member. While they care deeply about your well-being, it's important to know that most Walsh employees are considered mandatory reporters. This means they are required to report any disclosures of sexual or gender-based violence to the Title IX Coordinator or Deputy.
If you are not ready to move forward with an investigation, consider reaching out first to Counseling Services or our Victim Advocate where conversations can remain confidential. If you choose to speak with a faculty or staff member, schedule a time in a private setting to ensure your comfort and safety.
If you prefer to speak with someone outside the university, Compass Rape Crisis Center and Domestic Violence Project, Inc. (DVPI) offer free, 24/7, confidential services to survivors of sexual assault, dating violence, domestic violence, and stalking.
Walsh University partners with COMPASS Rape Crisis Center to provide on-campus support to students who have experienced sexual assault, dating/domestic violence, stalking, or harassment.
