In honor of a donation made by Don and Ida Betzler, Walsh University officially dedicated the Don & Ida Betzler Social and Behavioral Sciences Center.
"I am grateful to continue my support of Catholic education and Walsh University," said Don Betzler. "This dedication is especially important as it allows me to honor the memory of my wife, who shared my passion for promoting the education of our youth."
Longtime supporters of the University, a donation from the Betzler's in 2002 allowed for the creation of the Don and Ida Betzler Courtyard, a picturesque gathering space situated in the middle of three campus residence halls.
"This gift today comes from two exceptional people who have blessed and enriched our students' spiritual and academic lives," said Walsh University President Richard Jusseaume. "The Betzlers give from their hearts."
The Don & Ida Betzler Social and Behavioral Sciences Center houses the School of Behavioral and Health Sciences, composed of the undergraduate sociology, psychology, and exercise science majors and the graduate disciplines of Counseling, Occupational Therapy and Physical Therapy.
