Nursing is one of the most highly regarded and rewarding professions in the healthcare industry. Nurses provide patient-centered care in hospitals, outpatient healthcare facilities, health departments, schools and other settings. Students who meet the required academic criteria will be directly admitted into the Nursing Pre-Licensure program upon admission to Walsh University. Once admitted to the program, students must maintain a C or better in all Nursing courses.

Walsh consistently has a high pass rate on the National Council Licensure Examination (NCLEX).
The Byers School of Nursing maintains state-of-the-art facilities including five simulation labs/interactive classrooms that feature advanced educational technology such as mid and high fidelity simulators, simulated medication carts, and virtual reality equipment and programming.
Walsh's Stark County location allows students opportunities for clinical experiences and post-graduation jobs at some of the top hospitals in the nation including the Cleveland Clinic, Summa Health System, Akron Children's Hospital, Aultman Hospital and Mercy Medical Center.
Nursing students have unique opportunities to study global healthcare in places such as Tanzania, Mexico, Rome, and sites within the United States.
