With the rise in popularity of mobile gaming, the field of game development has seen a dramatic spike in the last five years. Walsh’s game development major provides students with the skills they need to successfully work in the games industry as a developer or producer. It focuses on providing students with a broad base of experience that will translate to success either at larger firms or with smaller developers.
Students will gain extensive experience in the Unity engine. They will also build strong skills in application development, user experience design, web design and project management.

Equipped with a variety of networking and server hardware and 20 computers, the Hyland Software Computer Engineering lab opened in 2018.
