Walsh University Earns 4-Star Rating in Money Magazine’s 2025 Best Colleges List

Walsh University has distinguished itself among Ohio’s higher education institutions by earning a 4-star rating in Money Magazine’s 2025 Best Colleges in America list. This recognition places Walsh in a select group of universities acknowledged for combining affordability with strong student outcomes.

Money Magazine evaluated more than 2,400 four-year public and private nonprofit colleges across the country, narrowing the list to 732 schools, including those in Ohio, that met rigorous benchmarks for financial stability, reliable data, and graduation success. The ranking methodology focuses on three main pillars: quality of education, affordability, and alumni outcomes.

Key factors considered include graduation rates, student-to-faculty ratios, net price of attendance, student debt levels, and median earnings of graduates 10 years after college entry. Special emphasis is placed on support for lower-income students, measured by Pell Grant recipient success and economic mobility.

While no Ohio institution received a maximum 5-star rating in 2025, Walsh’s 4-star designation underscores its commitment to academic excellence, student support, and providing strong return on investment for families.

Walsh University consistently ranks among Ohio’s top colleges for delivering exceptional value, campus safety, and positive student outcomes. This recognition from Money Magazine, alongside numerous national accolades, affirms Walsh as a leading choice for students seeking a high-quality, affordable education with proven results.
