Walsh University regrets to announce the cancellation of the event featuring Genelle Guzman-McMillan, the last survivor rescued from the World Trade Center rubble, which was scheduled for this evening, Wednesday, September 3, 2025, at 6:30 p.m. in the Barrette Business and Community Center.
Due to unforeseen personal circumstances, and out of respect for Ms. Guzman-McMillan, the program will not take place as planned.
Ms. Guzman-McMillan’s powerful story of survival, faith, and resilience continues to inspire people across the world. While we share in the disappointment of not being able to host this remarkable presentation and reception tonight, we remain hopeful to reschedule the event at a future date.
We thank everyone for their understanding and support, and encourage all to continue reflecting on the enduring themes of resilience and hope as we approach the 24th anniversary of September 11, 2001.
