These roles have helped him build connections, support his peers, and contribute to campus life. His dedication to service and mentorship reflects his passion for helping others, whether through student organizations or academics.

Marquette describes his journey at Walsh as one of growth. Initially a commuter, he found his place in the community by stepping into leadership roles and becoming more involved in campus life. His faith has grown, his confidence has increased, and he has built friendships that will last a lifetime. As the first male in his family to earn a college degree, he takes great pride in his achievements and is motivated to set an example for future generations.

Family plays a central role in Marquette’s life. His mother, Dannielle, and stepfather, Larry Jones, have provided him with steadfast support. He is also grateful for his sister, Bryana Arnold, and his stepsisters, Larionna and Leia Jones. His fiancée, Faith McNulty, has been a constant source of love and encouragement as they navigate life together.

With a strong academic record and hands-on experience from internships, Marquette is prepared for his future career. After graduation, he plans to work at a public accounting firm while pursuing his CPA license. His goal is to use his skills to serve a variety of clients, including small businesses, nonprofits, and individuals in need.

“Walsh has helped me grow in my spiritual journey and focus on a plan for life after college,” Marquette shared. “What surprised me most as a student was the diversity on campus. I met so many people from different parts of the country and the world, which broadened my perspective and deepened my appreciation for different backgrounds.”

Majors: Psychology and Criminal Justice

Luke Goers has truly embraced the values of leadership, service, and faith during his time at Walsh University, where he majored in Psychology and Criminal Justice. His journey has been shaped by a deep commitment to helping others and making a positive impact on campus life.

As a Resident Assistant, Luke created a warm and welcoming environment for his peers in the residence halls. His leadership skills further flourished when he served as President of the Residence Hall Association, where he worked to strengthen community bonds and enhance the overall student experience. Beyond his role in student housing, Luke played an active part in Cavs for Life, focusing on Industry Impact and Supportive Services, always striving to support and uplift his fellow students. His involvement in the Marching and Concert Bands also added to the dynamic campus atmosphere, showcasing his musical talents.

Luke’s faith journey at Walsh has been equally meaningful. He served as the Director of Agape twice, participated in Living Stations of the Cross, and volunteered as an Altar Server, deepening his connection to the university’s spiritual life. These roles, along with his active participation in Campus Ministry, allowed him to serve others while nurturing his own faith.

Family has always been at the heart of Luke’s journey. The son of Greg and Jennifer Goers, Luke has grown up with the support and encouragement of his siblings—Alexis, Mason, Sophia, Joshua, and Cecilia—who have been his constant source of love and inspiration.

After graduation, Luke plans to take a gap year before pursuing a graduate program in Forensic Psychology. This next step will allow him to further explore his passion for psychology while continuing his dedication to service and faith.

Reflecting on his time at Walsh, Luke says, “My time at Walsh has been incredibly impactful. I have undergone continual growth in every facet of my life. God has continually blessed me with this amazing community of people that have embraced me for the past four years. There are few words that could accurately describe the incredible people that have so lovingly walked with me … even in the times of great change, their support and Christ-like love has never failed, which is what I truly love most about my Walsh family. They always push me to be the best and the holiest man I can be. They’ve always had my back, and I will be forever grateful for everything they have done to help me become the man I am today. It is fitting that I will graduate at the end of the ‘Year of Community,’ because that is what I consistently rave about when I describe Walsh and my time here, the indescribably amazing second family that I’ve been so graciously given by God.”

Eventually, she hopes to get married and begin a family of her own.

Reflecting on her time at Walsh, Eleanor shares, “Our Lord truly had more in store for me at Walsh than I could have ever guessed, giving me many opportunities to praise Him through little deeds of kindness and trust Him to take care of the rest. I’m thankful for all those who have helped me find a love for servant-leadership and for the opportunity to foster a similar love in others to serve, lead, and use their gifts for His glory. Helping others to reach their full potential is a true calling for me, and I’ll forever thank Our Lord for bringing me to Walsh University to help cultivate the calling to love others as He loves us.”
