President Tim Collins Elected to NCAA Division II Executive Board, Representing Midwest Region

Walsh University President Dr. Tim Collins has been elected to the Division II Executive Board for the NCAA, representing the Midwest Region. This prestigious appointment places President Collins at the forefront of the top governing body for NCAA Division II, where he will play a pivotal role in shaping the governance and strategic vision of collegiate athletics. President Collins begins his two-year renewable term immediately.

“I am honored by the opportunity to serve on the Division II Executive Board,” said President Tim Collins. “This appointment not only allows me to contribute nationally but also enhances our ability to make meaningful regional impacts. I look forward to collaborating with fellow board members to set the strategic direction for the division and working closely with the Board of Governors on Association-wide matters.”

Commissioner Tom Daeger of the Great Midwest Athletic Conference extended his congratulations and appreciation for President Collins’ service, acknowledging his valuable contributions.

The Division II Executive Board guides the division’s financial affairs, oversees championship administration, and spearheads strategic initiatives crucial to the advancement of collegiate athletics. In this capacity, President Collins will have the opportunity to sponsor legislative proposals at the NCAA Convention and foster collaboration within the collegiate sports community, ensuring the continued growth and success of Division II athletics.
