Walsh University has appointed Annette Bernard ’98 as Director of Alumni and Career Connections. Reporting to the Assistant Vice President for Alumni and Career Development, this position will play a key role in reconnecting and engaging our 18,000 alumni in order to build a network of industry leaders who will help mentor the next generation of successful Walsh alumni.

She has been no stranger to Walsh serving as a volunteer on the alumni scholarship committee for nearly a decade. Annette’s impressive professional background has been spent engaging with alumni, volunteers and corporations in support of Catholic education and her skills align perfectly with this leadership role.”
Bernard has spent the past eight years at Sacred Heart of Jesus Parish in Wadsworth, where she played key roles in both the school and parish. As the Director of Parish Life and Director of Religious Education she was responsible for the faith formation and sacramental programs as well as parish and school events, fundraising, volunteer recruitment, safe environment training.
Prior to work at Sacred Heart, she spent time building her professional network while working in the technology and financial services sectors where she organized business development collaborations with strategic partners, planned and oversaw national tradeshows, educational seminars, as well as client appreciation events.
Bernard earned a Bachelor of Arts in Communications from Walsh University in 1998. She has served on various alumni committees including the Alumni Scholarship committee in which she has been a member of for over 10 years. She is excited to be returning to her alma mater and looks forward to welcoming back those who have not been to campus since their graduation and hopes to become a positive resource for student career development and creating graduates who are prepared for their life’s purpose after college.
