Previous Learning

Credit may be earned toward your bachelor's degree and/or for admission to Walsh University through prior learning experiences. Sources of this credit may be:

Transfer Credit

Unofficial evaluations can be completed for individuals providing supporting documentation from:

  • Accredited colleges or universities previously attended (regardless of how long ago they were earned).
  • Military DD-214 or DD-295 forms and training certificates.
  • Documentation of courses completed through your employer or professional organizations that have been recommended for academic credit by the American Council on Education.

Credit for Documented Approved Life and Work Experience and Education

  • Credit can be earned and proficiency may be demonstrated through two nationally standardized examinations - CLEP and DANTES. These exams are administered at both Walsh University School for Professional Studies locations.
  • Credit may be earned by constructing a portfolio of essays demonstrating knowledge equivalent to that gained from a college course.
