Alfonso C. Revollo, Walsh Alumnus '76, Bolivia (currently employed as Executive Vice President of Petromina in Washington, D.C. Previous positions include Minister of Finance, Minister of Defense, and Minister of Capitalization and Pension Reform in Bolivia; manager of two American companies: Occidental Petroleum and Tesoro Petroleum; Senior Adviser for the Inter American Development Bank; Senior Adviser in Economic reform at the World Bank; and Alternate Executive Director at the Board of Directors of the World Bank.)
"Walsh has taught me how to face the challenges in life by providing me with a strong foundation in academics and leadership.
Walsh is a small University that has advantages to bigger academic institutions. Let me mention some of them:
1.- Immigration issues, including I-20 forms, visas, and other relevant requirements that foreign students have to comply for admission, are well taking care of by Walsh.
2.- A foreign student in the admission process can talk intensively with Admissions in order to secure all the required forms for entry into the United States.
3.- Once the foreign student is at Walsh, he or she will encounter one hundred percent support from the administration, the Deans, the faculty, and the fellow students. This is of great importance, because being lonely and homesick is a major problem, particularly during the freshman year.
4.- The dorm facilities are exceptional compared to any other University.
5.- The ratio between teachers and students in each class allows for permanent contact with teachers, which makes a difference for a successful four year career.
6.- Walsh University is a Catholic University and as such, it follows the mission of the Brothers for a strong education, with strong values and religious principles which secure a strong education. However , the University by no means is restrictive to students, allowing them to enjoy and have a positive experience while living at the dorms.
7.- My education at Walsh has secured me to be extremely successful person in my life. In my country , I was three times Minister. I was honored to serve at the Board of Directors of the World Bank, the leading and largest financial institution in the world. Finally , at the private sector, I always had Management positions, including my current position as Executive Vice-President of Petromina.
8.- I am proud of having chosen Walsh University for my studies."

"My Walsh experience has been like no other. I've made friends who have changed my life and who taught me how to be more accepting of others. Being close with people from Nigeria, Puerto Rico, United States, Croatia, Brazil, etc, has really made a difference in my life. Because of Walsh, I met new challenges, new cultures and my new family."
