Politician Extraordinaire: The Tempestuous Life and Times of Martin L. Davey

North Canton, Ohio – Walsh University is proud to announce that Walsh Professor of History Dr. Frank P. Vazzano will sign copies of his new book Politician Extraordinaire: The Tempestuous Life and Times of Martin L. Davey on Tuesday, April 15 at 7 p.m. in the Barrette Business and Community Center on the Walsh University Campus. The program will include commentary by Dr. Vazzano followed by a reception. Fifteen students enrolled in Professor Lee Horrisberger¹s digital photography class at Walsh University are studying the work of outstanding photojournalists from the perspectives of artistic style, technique, and history.  The course will culminate in an exhibition in the Massillon Museum¹s Studio M from March 30 through May 6, funded by a grant from Arts in Stark. read more...

DR. JAMES TO PRESENT AT UNIVERSITY OF OXFORD

North Canton, Ohio, February 28, 2006 - Walsh University Assistant Professor of Sociology, Dr. Shauntey James will present a paper, "Multicultural Sensitivity and Business" at the Oxford Round Table, to be held at Lincoln College at the University of Oxford, Oxford, England, from March 12 through March 17.

Attendance at the Round Table is limited to approximately thirty-five (35) delegates from around the country who will exchange ideas on diversity in society in a seminar format. In 1989, the first Oxford Round Table convened to consider major issues in contemporary educational policy in the United States, the United Kingdom and other selected countries. The purpose of the Oxford Round Table is to promote human advancement and understanding through the improvement of education.
